Value & Costs of the Opus 5 Organ
The Hal Gober Opus 5 organ, built in 1997 for a church in Ohio, was “orphaned” when that church community dissolved and the church property sold. This unfortunate, but not unusual, situation made a world-class instrument available at a remarkable price. The Opus 5 organ was only days from destruction when the Holy Angels Music Guild, a private, independent group of investors, agreed on its purchase.
